Dr. Rasa Melnikienė, Deputy Director of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences (LCSS) and Head of the Institute of Economics and Rural Development (IERD), participated in the international innovation conference Next Bite 2025: “Building the Future of Food Together”, organized by EIT Food in Brussels, Belgium, on October 15–16.
Together with experts from Poland, Estonia, Romania, Croatia, and Cyprus, Dr. Melnikienė took part in the panel session “From Policy to Plate: Accelerating Agrifood Innovation in Europe Through Government Alignment.” The discussion focused on solutions to enhance the efficiency of national innovation ecosystems and to strengthen collaboration between business and research institutions.
During this international event, the IERD Director also attended the networking fair, met with EIT Food representatives, and discussed the potential for LCSS to join the EIT Food consortium.
