The paper was prepared under the research project „Profit variant projections of the Lithuanian Agricultural sector up to 2013“ funded by the Research Council of Lithuania and carried out under the Council supported activity „Scientists initiative to develop projects“. The purpose of this paper is to present economical results of agricultural activities of the EU-27 for the period 2004-2009 and to set up the factors influencing them. Objectives for the following task are as follow: to evaluate the macroeconomic situation, the main agricultural products price level and to distinguish the reasons among them, to assess the total agricultural production value and its structure, the agricultural production efficiency and to explore the influence of the direct payments to the profit in the EU-27 contexts. Actual 2004-2009 economic statistics data of the EU-27 was used for the paper. The main methods used are as follow: heuristic, statistical and method of the complex comparative analysis. The paper presents a modified complex method of analysis, through which the EU-27 countries by the key macro indicators were compared and the significance of each indicator was determined. Finally total agricultural output value and its structure, the main agricultural commodity prices, direct payments, expenses, profits, cost-effectiveness evaluation of the factors affecting these indicators were estimated in the EU-27 countries.
