Farmers farms business stability assessment using financial analysis of comparative indicators (In Lithuanian language)

Agricultural business, farming in a market conditions, is becoming increasingly complex and impossible without the financial analysis of the activity. To remain competitive in the market conditions, to find precise and to the extent possible optimal management decisions it is only possible on financial analysis basis. The article analyzes the significance of comparative financial indicators necessity and their calculation in the farms with a special focus on the grouping of these indicators. There were two main fields excluded for the analysis of agricultural actors (farms) activities - evaluation of financial conditions and evaluation of activity results. On the basis of estimated comparative financial indicators, the Altman model has been used to predict probability of farm bankruptcy. The results of research carried out (after identification of the comparative financial indicators and farm bankruptcy probability estimation model application for the specialist cereals, oilseed and protein crops farms) allow to concede that the vast majority of the comparative financial indicators and business risk probability can be calculated on the basis of farm financial reports, but in some case it is necessity of additional accountancy data for evaluation of some comparative indicators.
