Impact of globalization on Lithuanian aviculture sector (in Lithuanian language)

Processes of globalization obtain a more rapid pace every day. Neither country in the world evades its impact. The scientists already few decades examine processes of globalization, trying to determine how they impact on one or the other sphere of country life. Researches are needed to prevent or control untoward results. Impact of globalization on different sphere in Lithuania is also researched. However, globalization still affects the new, yet not analyzed sectors. The country's aviculture is thoroughly studied in different themes, but globalization of it almost is not analyzed. The research was conducted to determine whether globalization has had an impact on the aviculture in Lithuania in 2000-2010. Because of it sector's foreign trade in 2000-2010 and changes of poultry farms structure was examined, index of globalization was calculated. The research was conducted by using a systematic, comparative and the logical analysis of literature about globalization.
Statistical data was collected, organized, and analyzed too. S. J. Kobrin globalization index was calculated. For results to demonstrate was used the tabulation and graphical method. The summary was made by using the generalization method.
The research showed that volumes of Lithuania's aviculture sector foreign trade during the year 2000-2010 has increased significantly - increased both exports and imports volumes. Globalization during the researching period most affected poultry meat sub-sector.
Changes of poultry farm structure point about impact of globalization on the aviculture sector in Lithuania too. During the ten examined years the poultry farms became larger - number of small farms decreased significantly, number of large farms increased. Number of poultry changed adequately.
S. J. Kobrin globalization indices once again confirmed that poultry meat sub-sector most of all integrated in the international markets in 2000-2010. Integration of live poultry sub-sector was less gradually, but in 2010 the globalization index was similar to index of poultry meat. Globalization index of egg sub-sector was largest at the beginning of period of research. The overall index of globalization of aviculture sector was high during the entire period.
