Market Research No. 2 (40), Part 1, Market of the Lithuanian agricultural and food products, deals with the variations in the markets of the main agricultural products of the country (grain, rape, potatoes, vegetables, fruit and berries, milk, beef, pork, poultry and eggs) in the first half of 2008. The analysis includes the volume of the agricultural output, the purchase, domestic trade, export and import as well as prices of the agricultural produce. The data on Lithuania is compared with the data on other countries, prognosis is presented. The survey of the most recent legislation related to agricultural produce is presented.

Part 2, Scientific research and analytical surveys, deals with the country's foreign trade development of agricultural and food products, competitiveness of the Lithuanian farms, provides market research of potential export markets for the Lithuanian agricultural and food products.

The information on the key global importers of some agricultural and food products, price indices of food products in the EU countries and a part of the market for the main agricultural products in Poland is presented in the annexes.
