The research "Changes ip the market of land used for agricultural activities” was carried out under Hie order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, The report emphasizes that in order to seek for the stable and socially beneficial development of land market it is necessary to watch and analyse it, and to take minimal measures motivating or directing towards socially more favourable direction. The ihcrease of land market raises substantial questions such as: what factors icondition this growth and if the policy of agricultural support impacts on :the processes of land market? The results of research show what reliance exists between the increased activity of land market and the payments for iess favoured areas.
