Early in October this year, Lithuanian Institute of Agrarian Economics initiated international European Communities scientific research, technological development and pilot ERA-NET Project "Fast methods for authentication of organic plant based foods" (AuthenticFood) financed by the 7th framework programme CORE ORGANIC II. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania is in charge of the Project administration together with institutions of other countries. The Project is implemented in cooperation with partners from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, the United Kingdom, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, France, Finland, and Germany. University of Copenhagen is the coordinator of the Project.
Baltic Compass is a project where the 22 partners from all the 9 riparian countries share their practical and scientific knowledge about agriculture and the environment. Baltic Compass operates as a regional platform where participants and stakeholders can develop more efficient agro-environmental policies, share innovations and best practices, create scientific scenarios and facilitate investments. Baltic Compass fosters win-win solutions for agriculture and environment and this led to more sustainable rural economies.
