This paper aims at measuring productivity and efficiency of China’s three most important grain crops-rice, wheat and maize-as well as identifying the main directions of technical change prevailing in their production. The bias-corrected Malmquist production indices are employed to measure the technical changes (TCs) in terms of input-saving or input-using in China’s grain production, by using provincial aggregate data obtained from the National Farm Production Costs and Returns Survey.

This paper estimates the shadow price of CO2 from burning maize straw in the Chinese agricultural sector and explores the related policy implications for decision makers. Using a quadratic directional distance function, we evaluate the production inefficiency and shadow prices of CO2 reduction for the seven major maize-producing provinces in China for 1996-2014. In general, the efficiency improves over time.

This paper constructs a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model to analyze the effects of energy price, technology, and disaster shocks on China's Energy-Environment-Economy (3E) system. It also studies stylized facts, as well as co-integration and error correction dynamic analyses, of this system.

The measurement of sustainability is actively used today as one of the main preventative instruments in order to reduce the decline of the environment. Sustainable decision-making in solving energy issues can be supported and contradictory effects can be evaluated by scientific achievements of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques. The main goal of this paper is to overview the application of decision-making methods in dealing with sustainable energy development issues.

Understanding the relationships among CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and economic growth helps nations to develop energy sources and formulate energy policies in order to enhance sustainable development. The present research is aimed at developing a novel efficient model for analyzing the relationships amongst the three aforementioned indicators in G20 countries using an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) model in the period from 1962 to 2016. In this regard, the ANFIS model has been used with prediction models using real data to predict CO2 emissions based on two important input indicators, energy consumption and economic growth.

Although many studies have focused on significant role of total quality management (TQM) in literature, little attention has been paid to using the fuzzy multiple criteria decision making (FMCDM) for analysis TQM factors especially in the context of hospitality. The purpose of this study is to identify, prioritize and evaluate the TQM critical success factors (CSFs) in hospitality industry by integrating the theory of fuzzy sets, quantitative and qualitative approaches.

The research aims to substantiate a construct of the scientific research which enables assess the associated agricultural producers' involvement in agricultural policy-making processes. Methods of scientific discourse analysis, survey of agricultural producers, statistical data analysis, systematization and synthesis of scientific insights were used. The theoretical background is based on analysis of management theories explaining a nature of inter-organizational interaction.

Since the 1990s, the volume of biogas produced in the world has been increasing. Biomethane (upgraded biogas) is a more versatile renewable fuel. Biogas transportation from production sites to upgrading facilities induces a scale advantage and an efficiency increase. Therefore, exploration of costs and energy use of biogas transportation using dedicated infrastructure is needed.

The concept of resilience has wide acceptance in different scientific doctrines and fields, from ecology to disaster management. Nowadays this phenomenon is being more and more intensively exploited in economic sciences in an attempt to measure the ability of economic systems to quickly regenerate from different external shocks or even to avoid them as such.

Atkurta Lietuvos valstybė susidūrė su daugybe politinių, socialinių, ekonominių, kultūrinių iššūkių, inspiravusių visuomenės normų, aktyvumo ir žmonių sąmoningumo kaitą. Kaip atsakas į besikeičiančią situaciją kaime, kilo kaimo bendruomenių judėjimas. Pagrindinis kylančio judėjimo tikslas - nepasitenkinimas esama padėtimi, noras keisti gyvenimo kokybę savo jėgomis, artimas Vakarų pasaulyje susiformavusiems naujiesiems socialiniams judėjimams.
